Regularity is the comfortable passage (without straining) of well formed stools (neither too hard, nor too soft) once every two to three days without the use of laxatives, or other interventions. Some people move their bowels once every two to three days. Bowel function is unique and varies from individual to individual.

Tips for Regularity​

Daily Servings​

Get Moving

The body loves to move. Movement stimulates bowel activity and promotes regularity. To the extent you are able, moderate exercise such as stretching or walking is very helpful for maintaining regularity and good health.

Respond Quickly

Respond when nature "calls". To encourage regularity, respond to the urge as quickly as possible. If you ignore the urge to "go", you will get the urge less and less frequently. If you are not getting the urge, try toileting 45 minutes after every meal. Sit comfortably on the toilet for a few minutes. Gently massage your abdomen with your palm in a circular motion.
